Diamonds are classified into four different types,1A,2A,1B,and 2B.Type 1A diamonds contain large clusters of  nitrogen throughout and give off a yellow hue. They make up for 98% of naturally occurring diamonds and are considered low quality .2A diamonds are the classically clear and fluorescent diamonds we most often see in engagement rings. They are only formed under supreme pressure.1B diamonds have single nitrogen atoms scattered throughout their lattices, and emit a vibrant yellow as blue light is absorbed. Type 2B diamonds contain biron, rather than nitrogen. This causes them to emit a blue or blue-gray hue that is very rare. They make up for only 0.1% of naturally occurring diamonds and are considered the highest of quality.
