Quality natural black diamonds are a good fit for engagement rings thanks to their high luster and pristine look.  However, they do tend to be weaker – as their color comes from graphite inclusions, this affects the integrity of the stone, making them less hard than their counterparts. So it is best to use a treated black diamond to increase the durability of the ring. In terms of looks, though uncommon, black diamond engagement rings can still be a stylish choice because they are bold and daring. They are also more affordable than their white counterparts.
